Quadrophil
Schott is an international glass-ceramic manufacturer. In their competition the CERAN Design Awards Schott was looking for the best innovative designs for their cooktop panels specifically for induction cookers. With my competition entry 'Quadrophil' I received the Special SCHOTT Award. The cooktop panel was produced and presented at a pop-up gallery at IFA 2016 in Berlin.

The square is dominating my design. It is spread organically and creates spatiality by its differences in size. The technical aspect, shown by the square shape, is connected with the organic, the random principle and nature.
The jury liked the refined execution and the concept about my design. It plays skillfully with the heating technology of the glass ceramics.
